Bali CAS Reflection
CAS is a very rewarding activity that can be very enjoyable at times. Community Action Service helps students understand that they may not only accept, but also give back onto the world. I think that this CAS activity, planting mangroves, is very beneficial because it keeps the Balinese environment safe and helps encourage the growth of the mangrove population. To me, CAS activities are a very good thing to do because it teaches my friends and I the commitments that we must give have with the environment to keep it safe and preserve it for the generations to come. CAS is a very good project.
From planting mangroves, I have learned to value the plants it-self. Mangroves are a plant that helps keep the sand strong, binding the sand together. It also performs as a natural barrier from tsunamis and wind. From this CAS I have learned to appreciate the earth and it’s environment, and to encourage the growth of plants so that the future generations may still feel their positive influences. For me, personally, CAS is beneficial for my knowledge of the world. For other people, the CAS that I did can help the Balinese people because they will be able to let the mangroves grow. The mangroves that we planted will eventually be big enough to become a wave barrier, protecting the island of Bali.
From now on, I will appreciate plants and the environment more. I appreciate that with plants, the environment is protected and that mangroves grow in only certain places for a reason. The equality of the environment in the world is very important, and God has created a perfect environment. If we chose to take care of our environment the way that God had intended, nothing bad would happen because everything would be in a perfect state and condition. In the future, I will try to preserve the wholeness of my environment and I will try my best to protect it so that the equality in it will still be there. Because if we ruin all that God has given to us, then the peace of the environment will be disrupted and natural disasters will occur.
