Physical Education
This quarter in PE the focus of the quarter was swimming. I swam each lesson, only skipping once because my time was consumed by Yearbook photoshoot. Personally, I really enjoy swimming in this quarter because it's one of my more preferred sports. In the exercises, I swam all the styles that I knew how to swim (freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly stroke, and backstroke). Swimming was the sport that I did the most. If I were given the opportunity to swim again, I would try harder to swim with better style and and to use more of my energy so that I will also have the opportunity to improve my stamina. Personally, I think that the stroke I do the best is freestyle because it's the stroke that I grew up with and practiced the most. In previous lessons, Pak Lilli also told me that my freestroke is the best out of all my swimming styles. I would like to improve the other strokes by huge amounts, particularly breaststroke and butterfly stroke. For my breaststroke, I would like to have a better overall position and technique so that I will be able to move more effectively in the water. For the butterfly stroke, I would like to improve my overall skill in it because although I can do it, the style is still very unorganized and ineffective.
In Physical Education, I showed the IB Learner Profile thinker because I was able to think of the most effective way to use my energy and successfully do all the laps that Pak Lilli wanted us to do. By the end, I was still tired but because I managed to think and use my energy minimally in the beginning I was able to still preserve energy to swim in the end without resulting in continuous panting. I think that although swimming is a sport, it requires a lot of thinking of how you can improve your stamina and swim most effectively.
