Hi guys, this is my process journal towards the success of my e-magazine, JogMog. This journal will be updated every time I do something that has a connection with my e-magazine.
Testing of the Creating of Embellishments - 7th May
Today (7th of May, 2013) I tried creating embellishments after I have decided what I wanted to do as the main theme for my e-magazine (Galaxies). This theme includes embellishments that are filled with the colors of the rainbow. I got my inspiration to do this from an Instagram account (@agirlofmanyfandoms) and used it as inspiration. I tried creating my own embellishment, first, when I was just playing around. Then I became more serious with it and tried it with the picture of a butterfly. I used Photoshop as the application to edit the picture of the butterfly and used a picture of galaxies to fill it. I am quite satisfied with the final result because it's not that bad. I decided that I will try to make different embellishments when I have the page template so that I know what is needed here and there.
Note:
I have decided not to use any embellishments because it will make the page design too full and crazy.

Creating Content Pages - 17 May
On 17 May 2013, I created my front cover and content page. It took me approximately 15 minutes to create the front cover and another 15 to create the table of contents page. For the rest of the process, it took my around 20 minutes to find backgrounds that suited my theme. The process of filling in the pages and creating space for the words took about 1 hour.

Today I created the decoration for my front cover, created an overview of what I wanted to put in each and every page, choose an appropriate photo frame, and created my own font for the use of the e-magazine.
Notes:
Notes:
- I ended up not using the picture of the polaroid I drew since it was to dark and used one that I based mine
- I was able to successfully create my font which I called MyHandwriting due to lack of interesting name. The font, I decided, will not resemble the font on my design criteria but be one that is my natural handwriting (neater then usual of course) so that it would be more original and reflected me more. I created my font using an online website called MyScriptFont.com. I printed out a font creating template provided by the website, scanned the result, and uploaded it to the website to be converted into a TTF (true type font) file.

Today I uploaded my magazine into JooMag and added background music and animations. The animation works like this: In the table of contents, if you click a page number it will re-direct you to the page number. That way, it will be easier for viewers to see each page and read my magazine. The background music will play and start over every time the reader flips a page.
Overall note:
The theme that I have chosen for this project I call 'Galaxies' because I have always loved the way people were able to take amazing pictures of the beauty of galaxies and solar systems. Because of that, I have kept my e-magazine simple so that the beauty of the galaxies and my best work will be able to be incorporated side-by-side. The galaxy pictures I took from all over the internet, cropped, and put into my bibliography compilation in the link below. I may have more bibliographies compared to a lot of people, this is because I needed a lot of pictures for each picture of my e-magazine.
