Quarter Two
This quarter in physics, we learned about a lot of different things to discuss all the basics of physics. To test our overall knowledge, we had a test that discussed all the things we learned. This test was my best work because it showed that I understood the content we were learning, because although your could apply theories and formulas to the test questions, it still required understanding and some logical reasoning. It shows that I understand the concepts involved in physics, even though I entered the class fearing not understanding anything. I did well on the test because in class I made the effort to learn the concepts and do the work instead of just memorize the formulas or methods. Also, I worked hard to do the practices and worksheets even though several of them were difficult for me. In the future, I should work as hard to understand the different concepts in the different sciences, so that I can maintain my grade. I should also spend more time understanding the reason behind the formulas or methods, like we do during math investigations, because then even if I forget the formula, its easier to re-learn. Through the lesson, I was able to further understand the concept of systems, because I had to understand the systems behind physics equations and how they relate to one another. I learned to see how different vectors and magnitudes interacted with one another, and how two seemingly similar terms have different meanings and purposes because of how they're used in the system.

Quarter One
This quarter in Biology we studied cells; what they make up and what they're made of. My best work this quarter is my test about what cells make up, the criterion of which is on the left. The reason this is my best work is because I put effort into the test and studied, and I was exceptionally enthusiastic in learning these things compared to other science topics I've learned in the past. Also, in the test, I managed to practice both my memory, understanding, and analytical skills, in applying what was learned into different cases. Because I did those well, I could achieve an eight. However, in the test itself, I have 1/12 of a point deducted from using the wrong term. In the future, I should remove this mistake to improve the wholeness of my grade. Also, I should take more care when using terms (including remembering them and spelling them correctly) because in future examinations, these small mistakes will have massive effects. The key concept involved in this quarter is systems, because I learned about the relationship of cells in the human body (and why differentiation is important), and how different parts of the cell interact to create the cell. I also learned about the importance of these systems and how each system is built essentially for a purpose which helped me emphasize the importance of systems to me. Because, without systems, things would be chaotic and there would be a lack of coherence that build different aspects of life.

My goal this year in science is to understand biology, physics, and chemistry well. I would like to get at least 75% in our final test.
