End of Year Reflection
Goal
This year, my goal was to maintain my grade and do better, which I think I achieved. However, I also wanted to be more motivated throughout the year, but that only occurred when the assignments fit my personal standards instead of me situating myself with the assignment. In future years, I should actually be motivated towards assignments, because most of the assignments I enjoyed doing at was motivated in completing resulted better than those that I did arbitrarily. In DP, I should genuinely work hard to complete assignments, instead of doing it for the grades and seeing it as a burden.
Best Subject
This year, science was my best subject because my grades were consistent and I enjoyed it - for the most part. The lessons were sometimes confusing, but I could navigate my way through the lessons and assignments. I also greatly enjoyed the Q4 science experiment, because I was doing something more than just researching and looking through textbooks. Overall, I think I did well in most of the subjects, especially this fourth quarter. I put a little more effort in the assignment than I normally do, because the gaps between assignments were larger hence more time to complete the ones that exists better. I also became more creative and dedicated towards the end of the year, which explains why I feel more satisfied with the assignments.
Struggle
My biggest struggle this year was when I was sick for the majority of a quarter, and I wasn't allowed to do school work and such. Catching up with the different assignments was difficult, and it required a lot of motivation and determination. However, through that I was also granted a lot of time, in which I was able to do those assignments as well as I could in that state. Specifically, I struggled with art the most, because even the easy assignments I saw as a burden, which made me loath the assignments and try my hardest to avoid them. Again, the thing I struggled with the most this year is motivation.
